Accommodations
Registrants are free to choose a hotel of their preference.

One hotel of interest is the Holiday Inn Express, AV. VITACURA 2929, SANTIAGO, 6760235 CHILE (Hotel Front Desk: 56-2-4996000 and Hotel Fax: 56-2-4996200 or book online or Call +1 888 465 4329 in the US). The Holiday Inn Express Hotel Santiago opened in July 2004 and is located in the heart of Santiago's "El Golf Area" - a lively, entertainment, dining, and nightlife area of Santiago. It is a few blocks away from the closest Metro station and minutes from several well-known shopping malls. The main Avenues, Vitacura, Apoquindo and Providencia, are near the hotel. Access to and from the Airport (about 20 minutes using Santiago's new highway "Costanera Norte"). Downtown Santiago is about 5 minute by Metro, and museums and other cultural areas of the city are easily accessible. The conference venue is a brief Metro or taxi ride from the hotel.

The Holiday Inn Express Santiago offers 100% WI-FI access (costs apply) as well as free buffet breakfast (normal & light), local calls, use of the business center, parking, and sauna. All rooms are wired for WiFi high speed internet.

Fees:
IASSID members - early registration (by July 1st): $US200
IASSID members - registration after July 1st: US$250

Regular registration - early registration (by July 1st): $US 250
Regular registration - registration after July 1st: $US 300

Fees include conference registration, reception, refreshments, and conference materials. Registrations will be rebated to the non-attendee under the following conditions: 50% of the registration fee will be rebated upon notification no later than 1 August 2007. No rebates of registration fees will be provided after 1 August 2007


Conference Particulars
The official language of the 2nd IASSID South America Regional Conference is Spanish. Translation will be available for English speakers' presentations. No translations will be available for Spanish speakers' presentations. Posters are welcome in either Spanish or English.

Venue
The Opening Session on 4 September will be held at a site to be announced. All other Conference sessions will be held in the auditoria of the School of Law at the Universidad Diego Portales (República 105, Santiago). The urban area around the School of Law is replete with many other university buildings, shops, and restaurants. Lunches on 5 September and 6 September will be "on your own."


Posters
The conference organizers are accepting abstracts for posters to be presented at the Conference. Abstracts can be in Spanish or English, and posters can be in Spanish or English. Posters must confirm to poster size and display requirements and contain the title of the poster presentation, the author(s) name and affiliation, subject summary, and detailed text and explanation. If studies are reported, they should be organized according to specific aims, methodology, results and discussion/findings. All poster presentation must be accompanied by a 1-2 page handout.

All abstracts, using the IASSID poster abstract form, must be submitted by 15 June 2007. No posters will be accepted unless accompanied by a conference registration.
