The IASSID maintains three types of memberships - Organization, Individual, and Research Center. Until 1995, the IASSID was almost exclusively composed of scientific associations from countries worldwide. Since then, two new categories of memberships have been established and individual memberships and research center memberships.

Association Members and Research Centers may make payment by check, credit card or electronic funds transfer (EFT). Details for payment are given on Joining as a Research Center and Association Members pages, respectively.

Individual members may make payment by check (made out to "IASSID") or by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). The shopping cart below permits easy payment via credit card. If your preference is for payment by check or by emailing or faxing your credit card information, go to To Join IASSID.

You can become a new member or renew your membership in IASSID by clicking on one of the membership categories listed in the boxes below. You can also join one or more of the special interest research groups (SIRGs) for an additional amount ($20 per SIRG). If you are a new member, please be sure to complete the IASSID member information form : click here  If you are paying for a SIRG, please also complete the member information form and indicate which SIRGs you are paying for.


If you wish to become a member of IASSID only and not a member of a SIRG then simply use one of the boxes below and indicate the type of membership desired.  Once you have chosen your membership category, click on Add to Cart. You will be taken to the Shopping Cart page and you can then proceed. 

You can pay for one year (2003) or two years (2003-2004).  If you wish to pay for two years, indicate 2 for two memberships in the same category and the discount for a two-year payment will automatically be noted.  If you join prior to December 31, 2002, your membership will automatically include a membership for 2002 as well.

If you wish to pay for two or more memberships using the same credit card, please enter each member's information separately.  That is, enter the first member's information, pay, and close out the sequence, and then enter the second member's information, pay, and close out the sequence.

If you also wish to join a SIRG then click on CONTINUE SHOPPING on the Shopping Cart page and this will return you to the original page where you may click on ADD A SIRG.  When you click on this option you will be taken to the Page containing the SIRG option.  Here you may indicate how many SIRGs you wish to join and pay for -- each is $20 (if you indicate 1, the fee is $20; if you indicate 2, the fee is $40, and so on).   If you wish to pay for 2 years, you can indicate this on the TO JOIN IASSID page.   You will have to go to the TO JOIN IASSID page and indicate which SIRGs you have joined.  After you have indicated how many SIRGs you wish to join, click on Add to Cart, you again will be taken to the Shopping Cart page. On the Shopping Cart page, verify your purchase information and then click on Proceed To Check Out. You need only to complete the requested information and your payment will be automatically processed.

Under the Billing Address, please indicate the address that is used for your credit card bills. Under Shipping Address, please indicate where you want your IASSID mail (JIDR subscription) sent.  Persons who are pensioners may join under the student rates.  If you qualify for a special situation, please contact the IASSID membership office at iassidoffice@aol.com
