Quality of Life SIRG

The mission of the SIRG-QoL is "to further work that enhances the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and their families.
The SIRG-QoLs goals are to:

• collaborate for change at the societal level,
  
• conduct collaborative research,
• participate in collaborative activities such as conferences and publications.

The original SIRG-QoL has been broadened to include two sub- groups: a subgroup on person-centered quality of life, and one on family centered quality of life. The officers and members at large reflect these two groups well.

The SIRG-QoL has progressed well with the notion of a "virtual consortium" and has implemented the SIRG-QoL Listserve. The Listserv contains individuals who indicated an interest in the SIRG-QoL at the 2000 Seattle Congress and others who have joined the SIRG-QoL since then. To join the listserv contact Robert Schalock (see below).

The Consensus document on QoL that was presented in Seattle is now available through the Listserve.

Annual dues for the SIRG-QoL are US$20 per year.
