IASSID Special Interest Research Groups

The IASSID maintains a number of Special Interest Research Groups or SIRGs. Formal groups have been recognized by the IASSID Council, maintain a minimum membership, and have representation on the IASSID Council. Informal groups either are just starting up or maintain an informal relationship to the IASSID.

Current formal SIRGs are Aging, Family Issues, Health Issues, Individuals with Profound and Multiple Disabilites,Mental Health. Parenting, and Quality of Life.

Current informal SIRGs are Employment, Empowerment and Citizenship, Ethics, Forensics, Nursing, Social, Integration, and Women’s Issues.
