Guidance for Special Issues
The Journal of Policy and Practice in Intellectual Disabilities (JPPID) welcomes the organization and submission of special issues on topics of relevance to the Journal's readership. The Journal recommends that one or more individuals serve as the editor or co-editors of the special issue. The issue should be a collection of from 5 to 8 papers (totaling no more than 100 manuscript pages [8.5 x 11 or A4; double spaced]) linked to a common theme addressing policy or practice in intellectual disability. The editor of the special issue is responsible to: Topics appropriate for special issues include those of broad interest to the
Journal's readership and involve a synthesis of research reports, experiential
